This tank from Dodonpachi (Cave 1997) always looked like a weird mouse (or pink panther, but blue) to me when its gunpods are open. Made a really quick and shitty paintover to bring it out a bit more. This is what I see, and now you can also not unsee it. #pixelart #ドット絵

Donpachi (1995), first game by Cave, has really nice destruction gfx for ground enemies, which later Cave games lack. Here are some of them. In Dodonpachi (1997) there are some custom gfx for building type things that remain, but all tanks just leave craters. #pixelart #ドット絵

When generating a colorcube, RGB order is actually not very good. BRG or BGR are much nicer since they order things better by perceptual brightness. Between those two I prefer BRG, but I'd say that' a matter of taste. Palette used is the Amstrad CPC one. #pixelart #ドット絵
