#Inktober Day31: The prompt is Farm. Unlike most of the creatures drawn this month, the mighty Garworms are beneficial, as they pass through an area leaving a fertile zone in their wake - extremely suitable to farm. In this case, it's a pumpkin patch: Happy Halloween! Brush pen.
#Inktober Day30: The prompt is Gear. Quaesitors treat all whom they encounter as fodder for their experiments. These gear or snowflake-shaped threats (no two are configured alike) often float motionless pondering a thesis, but they have deadly powers they can unleash. Brush pens.
#Inktober Day29: The prompt is Uh-Oh. A Wyrmsect is a terrifying insectoid creature capable of besting a dragon, truly one of the scariest monsters of the underground and well worthy of an "Uh-Oh!" - followed by a rapid retreat through the tunnels. Brush and ink pens.
#Inktober Day 28: The prompt is Camping. Animated by spores, the Fungal Undead shamble through the underground looking to infect living creatures. When none are nearby, they mass together, camping in membrane covered structures of their melded bodies until a host comes near. Bic.
#Inktober Day27: The prompt is Snack. Pretty much that: the Grub Swarm has a snack. The snack was actually dead before they started swarming, don't worry. Probably. Brush pen.
#Inktober Day26: The prompt is Ego. Ruby dragons are tyrants and conquerors. Their ego-driven demands impel them to increase their temporal power, subjugating entire populations and keeping them bound under their crimson claw. Brush pen, bit of white paint.
#Inktober Day25: The prompt is Tempting. This pic shows what takes place seconds after a Mockery has decided they are done with tempting someone by shapeshifting into something they need or want - a locked chest, a lost child, even a spring of water. Dinner time! Bic & brush pen.
#Inktober Day24: The prompt is Fairy. Dream Spirits manifest in order to repeat & communicate the meanings & symbols of how they died. Those that can move slip into the dreams of those creatures they wish to influence. Clearly, this is about fairy stuff... or is it? Brush pen.
#Inktober Day23: The prompt is Booger. And here we are just oozing in under deadline. Much as the colossal ooze Tekeli-Li slimes its way through the earth- eyes, mouths & tentacles growing in no particular pattern, dripping like a booger. Brush pen, ran out of time to do more!
#Inktober Day22: The prompt is Heist. Do not plan a heist against a Gold Dragon. They are avaricious & vain, laying in magma streams in order to apply molten gold and jewels to their armor plates. They also use various precious materials to overly decorate their horns. Brush pens
#Inktober Day21: The prompt is Bad Dog. Some Surface Touched return obviously broken: raging, murderous, raving, twisted. Some return seemingly fine, but they turn, like bad dogs, after living normal lives - even as a nice old lady. Brush pens.
#Inktober Day20: The prompt is Bluff. The Miasymill are intelligent clouds of caustic vapors. Normally invisible, they turn visible in order to preach the gospel of the Lords of Rot. But is such a speech an elaborate bluff?... Brush pen/white paint.
#Inktober Day19: The prompt is Ponytail. The rare & solitary Zenshu are twice the height of a human, towering on their spider-like legs, and wear ornate full masks that hide their true faces. Tied to this one are several ponytails, but where they got the hair is unknown. Bic pen.
#Inktober Day18: The prompt is Scrape. The rusting metal parts of the Rust Knights grind & scrape, releasing clouds of rust. They slowly plod towards you raising their weapons- made from their own bodies- & you feel like you can barely stay awake... All Hail the Rot! Brush pens.
#Inktober Day17: The prompt is Salty. The lowest ranked of the Haemexii is the Page. They are cowardly, cruel, and backstabbing, and always craving that salty, coppery, tang of fresh blood that makes them bloat up like the parasites they resemble. More than halfway done! Bic pen.
#Inktober Day 16: The prompt is Fowl. All this warrior wanted was to steal this tasty fowl, but in running away he didn't notice the new pit that had opened up. Now his spirit repeats the chase, over and over again, and woe to those among the living who get in the way! Brush pen.
#Inktober Day15: The prompt is Armadillo. The Arthri have segmented bodies covered in massive plates - not unlike an armadillo. Ranging from small size to truly gargantuan, city-destroying, they bite and claw tunnels through the underground. Brush pen/bic.
#Inktober Day14: The prompt is Empty. These Husks are the remains of an ill-fated exploration party mindlessly repeating their actions in the events that killed them. Dead, empty, husks of who they once were, though once in a while a hint of who they were may surface. Bic pen.
#Inktober Day13: The prompt is Kind. And I will be kind, and warn folks not to look at this in any detail if they have issues with gore, meat, and blood stuff. The Gouhak are a cannibal cult hunting for meat in the dark - awful. Ink pen.
#Inktober Day12: The prompt is Forget. This is easy to do when the tarry, tentacled, pulsating, Klo'Tha open their heads in order to open yours...and eat your brains! Side sketch there on the right to demonstrate that moment. Bic pen.
#Inktober Day11: The prompt is Eagle, which is one of the forms a Nature Spirit assumes as they arise from the shattered remains of a stone altar bowl once dedicated to them. A little god of the past world, now down in the darkness. Brush and ink pen.
#Inktober Day10: The prompt is Crabby. The Yaggyakh certainly seem like crabs mixed with different insects: they're actually a fungoid species claiming to be from "beyond the stars". They're known for medically aiding other species with surgery. They sure seem friendly! Ink pen.
#Inktober Day9: The prompt is Nest. The Mantodea people live in matriarchal nests & are willing to treat honorably- trading exists & this trader & his pack Ptera are loaded with goods. The lil drawing to the right is my suggestion for how their hands could work. Bic pen.
#Inktober Day8: The prompt is Match. The Starbearers are strange and unearthly creatures found scuttling along tunnel walls, twitching their inhumanly long limbs as their burning heads pulse and bleed off energy and Kaos like unholy stars. Burning heads like matches. Bic pen.
#Inktober Day7: The prompt is Trip. The Diamond Dragon is infused with Kaos, and can mutate and warp creatures and surroundings - even showing visions and bringing forth parts of other worlds/dimensions/eras. What a long, strange, trip that is! Ink pens.
