An example of a piece, I really struggled with is this Dungeons & Dragons cover. It was originally going to be purple & I really couldn’t make the colors work. So I changed it to green & I still found it super difficult balancing the warm lighting with the green shadows.

For any artists that need to hear this.. Creating art is HARD. I spend every minute I’m working on an illustration thinking it’s not good enough, worrying I’ve gone in the wrong direction & unsure if it’ll come together. It’s normal, and contributes to making you a better artist.
