Some jellies are weirdly asymmetrical. The Velella, or By-the-wind Sailor, has an elongated disc. The sail on top of its body sits at a diagonal angle, catching the wind as they float on the sea surface. It can't move on its own, though, so it's often found stranded en masse.

Most jellies come in 2 different forms: they hatch from eggs and become polyps that settle on the seafloor, which then release floating umbrellas we're familiar with. Some, like the Psychedelic Jelly, skip the polyp stage, growing little umbrellas dangling inside their umbrella.

I downloaded this out of curiosity—FOR SCIENCE! First impression: it needs 4GB of space & 5GB of RAM to run. Kind of a tall order for my laptop—they said they're working to reduce the requirements. This is an animal. Monobrachiocrinus is a one-armed crinoid, a marine animal related to living feather stars (and sea stars). Several species have been found in Permian rocks, aged 252+ million years, in Southeast Asia all the way to New Zealand.
