#inktober2019 day 26: #dark The Canthoreas lies deep beneath the busy streets of Saratheas. Formerly a deadly prison, now mostly abandoned and sealed off to the public, its labyrinth-like dungeons still house all sorts of old, dark secrets.
#inktober2019 day 24: #dizzy The Thorn Strait separating the island Maan Garth from Ivendarea’s mainland is a grave to hundreds of ships underestimating the deadly storms. A trip across the strait is heavy on body and mind and should only be undertaken by experienced crews.
#inktober2019 day 23: #ancient The Emerald Palast of Canwyl is by some considered to be more a temple than a seat of government. A temple dedicated to Neron, the “great uniter” and founder of Ivendarea, and his many achievements.
#inktober2019 day 19: #sling Busy workers sling wares on ships or carts, transport crates to one of the dozen warehouses, and breathe life into the grey streets of Ivendarea's biggest trade harbour. Westpoint is and has always been a melting pot of cultures.
#inktober2019 day 16: #wild Maan Garth’s jungle is as beautiful as it is wild, dense, and deadly. The island is home to many curious species that are so perfectly adapted to their environment that their unsuspecting prey won’t see or hear them coming until it is too late...
#inktober2019 day 15: #legend No other Ivendarean city is as legendary as Canwyl. The cradle of the nation is the oldest city, unique in its architecture dominated by glass and metal. Surrounded by ice and snow for most of the year it is heated by subterranean hot springs.
#inktober2019 day 14: #overgrown Beldran is the smallest of the ancient Ivendarean cities. It was home to the nation’s largest library in its prime time. The first city to fall during the Assadin invasion, nature reclaimed it before civilisation slowly returned.
#inktober2019 day 11: #snow In the north the Skyreach Mountains are snow-covered all year round, while in the south only the highest peaks with their glaciers are dipped in white.
#inktober2019 day 10: #pattern Stendell is a community of blacksmiths and masons, woodworkers and miners. Their artisanship is present throughout the city in beautiful patterns spanning along bridges and roads or decorate exterior and interior of houses.
#inktober2019 day 9: #swing On a rock above the town of Fandyl sits a lonely little house. It is inhabited by a wise old woman, sticking to herself and her routines. Lately though there have been curious changes - such as the swing tied to the tree at the edge of the rock.
#inktober2019 day 8: #frail The Honeyfields in Ivendarea’s northwest are filled with lush meadows, a rainbow of flowers, and the constant busy buzzing of insects, predominantly bees, producing the honey the region is famous for.
