In 1996 I did 20 chapter illustrations for DAREDEVIL:PREDATOR'S SMILE, published by Boulevard Books and Byron Preiss. My first time penciling and inking Daredevil, though not in a comic story. I was asked to draw the series in the late 80’s, but I didn’t want to leave The Badger.

In tribute to John Romita Sr.'s passing I thought of posting the art I grew up with on his Spider-man, etc., but his earliest work that I later discovered he'd done in the 1950's, when he was 24, was so interesting. You can see the Milton Caniff influence among others.

1 of 3-Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez pencils Nexus#30 1986. In the mid 80’s I worked for First Comics in Chicago. I'd go into the office to turn in work on The Badger. One day this job was in the drawer. Steve Rude was at the top of his game, but JLGL gave him a run for his money.

Never forget. The first artist to draw Man-Thing, Gray Morrow. I met Gray in 1990. Bought a couple other pages from him for pennies. He seemed like a man beat down by the business, though he was about ten years younger than I now. For what it's worth, Williamson agreed with that.

I was first struck by Neal Adams art in 1970 when I saw his cover to Batman#227. It looked like nothing else on the stands.

The first Punisher story I had published guest starred Moon Knight in Punisher Annual #2 1988, fighting lizard dudes c/o Viper. It was the second time I got to draw Moon Knight.... #MoonKnight
