Rubber Saul. A series I did last year and still one of my favourite things I've ever done. The idea was to reimagine Beatles songs as film posters in the style of mid century graphic designers like Saul Bass.
Still on a high after last night’s Pulp gig. Properly euphoric, life affirming stuff. To celebrate my ongoing post-gig elation, here's a drawing of Jarvis Cocker riding a tiger through space.
I just realised I missed the 50th anniversary of David Bowie's Life On Mars last week. Please accept my apologies, and this silly Watchman/Bowie mashup drawing.
Repost of a personal favourite of mine from a year or two back. Another mid century graphic design/Saul Bass inspired film poster. This time for Bob Dylan’s Tangled Up In Blue.
A tribute to (possibly) my favourite Talking Heads song, Once In A Lifetime. I ended up doing two different versions of this - one hand drawn and one a bit more graphic designy. I couldn't decide which I preferred so thought I'd post both.
A pretend Blur/Archie Comic cover from a few years back. I finally got around to adding some limited, signed and numbered prints of this to my website if anyone's after one.
I decided to redraw the Joy Division Transmission thing I did a few years back. It's always been a favourite, so I thought it'd be interesting (to me, at least) to revisit it now that I'm a bit better at drawing.
