If anyone is interested (and one asked) my Dwarf #cosplay has this crest on the right shoulder. It's my own design made of eva foam, faux rivets and hand painted. It represents the mountain, brown and green are the top and side slopes, purple and plum are the halls and forges...

As I plan to continue #cosplay and t9 step up my game as well as doing other foam crafts, decided I really needed a proper utility knife to cut foam. I got this OLFA knife as @KamuiCosplay linked to it on a @YouTube video on cutting angles and bevels in foam. Excited to try it!

Ok, doing a test fitting of my Dwarf armor/tunic #cosplay. small mirror unfortunately. Overall happy, I am going to see if I can get the shoulder plates higher. Lots of little details but overall, I am pleased.

I bought a punch kit that is actually for leather but using it with my eva foam. Both for shapes to play with, like this Dwarven belt buckle for my #cosplay but also nice to cut recessed areas in pieces as well. Just a lot of fun!

So it's not trimmed up and finished but I made this heart life meter to add to my #Dwarf armor/outfit #cosplay. There are points to cover pattern ends on the outfit and while thinking what to do I saw a life meter in background of a @testedcom video and inspiration hit.

So this is a practice foam shoulder armor I did not use in end. But realized maybe it could be the basis for a future hat or helm. #cosplay #HappyAccidents

Well again up late after #4thOfJuly fireworks to get a big step in my Dwarf #cosplay done. Sewing gold felt Celtic knots to each side. I actually like sewing, it's a meditative calming process, but I hate pinning and threading the needle. Tomorrow is mounting my shoulder armor.

Why I am torturing myself with Celtic knot patterns I don't know must be some self hatred, but adding a triangle knot on each side of helmet and so cut out pattern outline of 2 mm foam, will try to bring out the form in the paint. Not perfect but will work for this #cosplay

So I have been using scraps to create a Dwarf face for the right shoulder plate. Nothing glued or painted yet, and I have different options for eye gems but I love the design. #cosplay. I think go copper or bronze base with gold facial features and beard

So got basic studs and gems in the forehead piece on my Dwarven helmet. Still trying to decide on the sides of the "horns" and the gold topper. But so far, I am pleases #cosplay

I think I figured it out with some cardstock. So I have a squared off Celtic Knot pattern, one glitch I fixed,but I can use to cut gold fabric and weave together which I will then use along front, back, and maybe arms of the dwarven tunic for my #cosplay. #brainhurts

Ok so on helmet, first unpainted foam as I posted before, now basic painted. Next will be embellishments. I am trying some gem something on forehead piece, I have upholstery tacks to add, On the top swoosh and horns planning some texture or runes. Excited for options! #cosplay

Now this comment and the positive reaction I updated the ears and tail (there is no good pic of tail as it's behind me) I reworked and updated them, better wire frame, fabric paint, better size for next year and many years after. So a #cosplay debut need not be perfect.

So this takes me way back, 2000 I made a tail and ears, cause I am a furry and wanted to express it at #GenCon. Really #cosplay was not the huge thing. First set very basic, and big. But I met @ADaniels3PO at con, he complimented them and said it's nice when people make an effort

Last year I watched eva foam helmet video. I don't remember exactly where or who it was but mentioned Barge cement and used a condiment squeeze bottle. To start I got little tubes of Barge, but now as I do more, I got big can and bottle and IT IS A DREAM! #cosplay

So working on Dwarven style helm, did not use template, I "freehanded" it. Used cap to get head size, built around it creating basic circle and cross for top. Measured down face and neck for the skirt and filled in top. Now that main core is done next is embellishments #cosplay

Helmet fits fine. I see where more angled cuta would help in spots. Used a heat gun to do some reshaping. Doing two halves is tricky. I may try my own idea to create next helmet. Also have to decide if I want to work with this for my scifi idea or scrap it as practice #cosplay

Ok, so first basic helmet cut and glued, needs a little shaping work and of course no embellishments or paint yet, but as a first attempt I am pleased. Once it sets more I will try it on. I have a big head I may need to modify the template. #cosplay
