A fossil in the making. Caihong (rainbow) is a small dinosaur from the Late Jurassic with iridescent feathers. Found in the Yanliao Biota of China which was frequently covered in volcanic ash, it contains some of the best preserved fossils in the world. #DrawDinovember#paleoart
This is my year being an Ox! A water Ox to be exact and as a #paleoart adaptation here is a Bison latifrons fighting through the Pleistocene snow. This extinct bison roamed North America 20,000 years ago and is one of the largest ruminants ever.
