Here's a thread on how I converted @Vinikdev's NES tileset to the gameboy. You can apply this method to most lowspec pixelart, and it's the process I use for converting my art for GBStudio

I started out by drawing out the basics of the vehicle and working out how the player would arrive. We wanted something that could fly in and fly out to prevent the player backtracking along a road or path. #aseprite #pixelart #wip

Up until now, the fins have been pretty simple. When you're using flat planes like this it helps to distort them in some way so no matter what their rotation is, they're always at least slightly visible. #lowpoly #pixelart #lowrez

as I'm working on the divide I'm also triangulating the mesh by hand to make sure I can avoid dents like this. Which way you split your quads will really affect how it's viewed from different angles. Look at your planes from the side to check for this. #lowpoly #pixelart #b3d

Our game, "GBVR Virtual Trader" is finished for the B+W8 jam! It's a #1bit #vaporwave game for the #Gameboy. We managed to do a pseudo-3D overworld which loops around. Play it online and download for Gameboy Color and Analogue Pocket here: polyducks.itch.io/virtual-trader
