Last but not least: The Jester, a mysterious regent heralding from the ruined nation of Khaenr'iah. His 1st form summons void tendrils and weaponry from Abyssal portalls, while his second form corrupts the powers of the seven gnoses. (we ran out of time to animate this part)
A mad scientist expelled from the Akademiya for inhumane research, the Doctor's experiments in achieving godhood culminate in a terrifying transformation of his own flesh. Lots of inspiration from Resident Evil, which features similar themes of the pursuit of being beyond human.
We saved the best character designs for last! An enigmatic child with an unsettlingly high rank among the Harbingers, The Damselette is speculated to belong to an antediluvian race of angels, serving the Primordial One long before the creation of Teyvat.
Rumored to be the strongest human in Teyvat, Il Capitano ranks among the upper echelons of the Fatui in power and status. I went with a very regal design of his knight's armor, decked to the nines with gilded pauldrons and high-ranking military attire.
Ranked at #5, Pulcinella maintains an adminstrative role as Mayor of a Snezhnayan city, and is personally responsible for recruiting Tartaglia to the Fatui's ranks. Constantly calculating others' "worth", he does not hesitate to sacrifice those he deems less valuable.
A puppet clone that once ascended to the status of godhood, Scaramouche summons mechanical arms with remnants of his deific powers. His newer design had yet to be released when we began work on this, but it works out as a neat throwback to his old Electro model.
A genius inventor with a bad attitude, Sandrone researches and builds lifelike Automaton robots for combat and espionage. By far one of the most complex sheets for this dynamic duo, I found the steampunk aesthetic to be most fitting for The Marionette and her robot counterpart.
Having lost her lover in the Cataclysm, the flames of La Signora's rage still linger even after her passing. For our project, I chose to design around Signora as the Crimson Witch, the form she assumed for centuries prior to joining the Fatui's ranks.
Overseer of Snezhnaya's finances, Pantalone makes up for his lack of a Vision with an arsenal of devious weaponry. Similarly to Yelan, his overcoat sleeves hang off his shoulders even in the midst of combat. Fitting, given hers was stolen from The Regrator himself.
As headmaster of the nefarious House of the Hearth, Arlecchino leads with a cruel demeanor and manipulative nature befitting of her title as The Knave. I decided on a more refined, aristocratic look that acts as a front for her more clandestine operations.
Here's our character sheets for the 11 Harbingers used in our fan animation. Tartaglia: the first Harbinger encountered in the story. In the animation, we accentuated the differences in his Hydro, Electro, and Foul Legacy phases through his abilities and movements.
