“The Long, Slow March of Stone to Sea” Watercolor on Paper 17” by 11” - Beaches are constantly changing and shifting. Sometimes in small ways and other times in massive ones. These large stones weather the changes as they continue their journey to the ocean. #watercolorart
“Peaceful, Easy Feeling no. 25” Watercolor on Paper 11” by 13” Is there a more peaceful, easy feeling than floating on calm clear water? This is my first #landscapepainting of the New Year and I hope we can take the same calm, peaceful feeling into this year.
“Sunset at Crow Point” Watercolor on Paper 17” by 11” This was such a fun commission to work on. A spot on the Cape that you wouldn’t know existed unless you were taken to it. Getting to experience a place makes the process that much more special. #watercolor #landscapepainting
Folks, if you find yourselves in #nantucket head on over to The Gallery at Four India St to see these four beauties in their frames. Really proud to be a part of this amazing gallery! #watercolor

It’s that time of year again! #artvsartist2021 It was a super busy year with a major move, switching to painting full time, and lots of other craziness but I think I managed to get some good paintings in. Thanks for the support, team! #artvsartist
#Fullmoon tonight! Watch out for those #zombie Lion-Os. So my buddy @brian_barresi and I decided to do an art swap for #drawlloween and that beautifully twisted man requested our favorite #thundercat Lion-O…but as a zombie. This was a nice break from serene landscapes.
Hope everyone had a lovely #WinterSolstice ! This was a fun little demo from my #watercolorclass the other day.
2020 was gross but I was fortunate in that I was able to keep creating, albeit in ways I didn’t expect. I found joy in #landscapepainting but spent less time on my books. The break was needed and I’m excited to bring what I learned into my kidlit storytelling in 2021 #artvsartist
Here some work for the comics crowd #PortfolioDay! And you can see more of my work at justinlaroccahansen.com
