Went home for lunch and heat molded some #Mandalorian knee armor, going to 3d print the darts and launchers later. Used advice from @sjsabercatfan and used a large can to shape them nicely. The cardboard was just to keep the tabs from warping. #cosplay @mandomercs

Some more progress on #Mando suit for @mandomercs. Using paper to make templates for kamas and gun/ammo belt. Still deciding on details. #cosplay

Finished the left brace print, this piece will have a simple display via a sanded plexiglass plate to frost it and light it via this simple battery powered LED. @mandomercs The idea is a simple computer with com dish and radar. #cosplay #StarWars #Mando

The bottom piece looked a little small so printed a partial upper piece instead of printing the whole thing. I think it should fit, what do you think? #cosplay #StarWars @mandomercs

Vaguely ok at making my own patterns… (Nothing is sewn but simply pinned and edges have not been folded and pinned.) Going to like velcro on one side panel to hide a zipper. #cosplay

Decided that my T visor was too small and I didn’t want to walk into things. I used my @dremel to cut off the edges and trimmed the excess material off before reattaching the inside rim. Second pic is after reattaching but before Bondo. #cosplay @mandomercs Updates soon

When you chip your gloss coat and it keeps chipping more as you try and sand... 🤦‍♂️ I like to just stabilize it with paint. My uncle who was a great artist once told me “the key to being a great artist was to make your mistakes look like they were on purpose. #cosplay @mandomercs

I discovered a new form of #ModPodge... DISHWASHER SAFE! I guess it’s for modding mugs and the like but I think it might be cool for #cosplay pieces. Like if you made body armor that could all sweaty at con but washing might ruin the paint normally, just seal it cheap.

I don’t normally do New Years resolutions but in 2020 I plan on doing a @ExpanseSYFY #cosplay, possibly more then one but guaranteed at least one Belter build. Also at least one spacesuit helmet because @sophywong had hers at the Bay Area @makerfaire and it was EPIC!
