Elf, almost done, except for the base-design. Lots of new learnings, especially in weight-painting/rigging. I feel I've leveled up with this project, but it'll be a while before I tackle something this complex again XD Thanks for looking!
WIP update on this Elf gal, viewport render with Eevee in Blender! I will still refine her hair, adding more strands to break the even-ness. Will make the light dappled, add a simple rig w. pose, and do a render with cycles. Then onto the next one ;) C&C appreciated!
Calling this Paladin done, and moving on to the next learning-experience. Learned a bunch! 90% 3d in blender with some paintovers in photoshop at the end. Cheers!
The most I've challenged myself with drawing in a while. Dark ldar Wytch vs. Sister of Battle. Might be a while before the next update, I'm going to model an imperial hive in the background :) Thanks for looking!
In a world of high fantasy, there was a war between heaven and hell. Heaven lost. Demons roam the lands, devouring all life. Ten sancuary cities exist, protected by barriers of dying angels. Heroes travel the infested wastelands, protecting trading caravans. This is Hellscape.
If anyone is curious, here is a step-by-step how I painted the Emperor of Mankind from 40K. In this case, I paint a bit similar to how a 3D software-engine would render. I start with an underpainting/sketch, and then try to hit a "ambient diffuse" checkpoint before adding light.
It is done. After 2.5 years this fanart project is complete. All the primarchs, to the best of my ability, and the Emperor. Thank you Warhammer Community for your encouragement, feedback and support. Thank you for looking.
Ferrus Manus "The Gorgon", primarch of the Iron Hands from Warhammer 40K The Horus Heresy. This one started out as a totally different idea, only to pivot after some great feedback from a couple of Iron Hands fans. I'm happy I did :D
