The unexpected tree... :) I meant to just paint a quick landscape with the leftover paint in my palettes, but it turned into this other thing. If I could edit, I'd take out the leaves and keep the branches in different colors and that's what I'll do on the next.

Is there any room for a slightly atmospheric black and white in children's publishing? I sure hope so. I'd love to illustrate a book this way, maybe with some added elements of watercolors or collage, to add a pop of color here and there.
