Some more #Nimona storyboards . . I loved the idea that with no words these two characters could put all the events of the movie behind them and come together. Goldenloin knows the pain Ballister’s in and comes to comfort him ❤️🩹
storyboard to final #Nimona One of the things the directors wanted to explore in this scene is how Nimona becomes transfixed with Ballister’s concern for her. She doesn’t need anyone to tend to her wounds but she hasn’t been cared for like this in a long time.

From the boards to the final thing, you can see how the space between them got compressed and how much more intimate their interactions are. Props to the directors and the team for being bold and putting so much care into their relationship.
You can imagine how my heart jumped with glee when I saw how in the final film their relationship is established clear as day 🥹. It works so much better for the story and makes you root for them from the get-go.
#NIMONA From storyboard to final. When I first worked on this scene, this was the first moment Ballister and Goldenloin showed signs of affection towards each other. In past iterations, it never went beyond a hand touch 🧵 (1/4)
#Nimona took 7 years, two studios, hundreds of people, and a thousand buckets of sweat and tears to make (I contributed three years and a few buckets myself.) If you have an hour and a half to spare this weekend, please watch it. I PROMISE it’ll be worth your time.
