2020 & 2021 - Ports & New Pokémon Snap, Nintendo Switch & PC First off, Happy Halloween. As always, appreciative of all comments and likes the past month. This round of Inktober went much smoother and provided much needed positive vibes. #Inktober #Inktober2021
2019 - Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Nintendo Switch I really wasn't expecting Warrior Yu-Gi-Oh GX Harry Potter The Game to work out & personally don't think any of the routes beats Awakening's story, but the sum of Three Houses parts gets it pretty close. #Inktober #Inktober2021
2018 - Octopath Traveler, Nintendo Switch A very unique piece to me. Unlike a lot of games today, which play like heavily cinematic movies, it felt very much like playing a book. It's subtle storytelling and grand music makes it a must play for me. #Inktober #Inktober2021
2017 - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nintendo Switch One of the best video games I've ever played. There's always something new to discover, regions to explore, and things to collect in Hyrule. Cemented itself as my favorite Zelda game. #Inktober #Inktober2021
2015 - Undertale, PC We've gotten so used to killing in games that we often don't realize we're doing it. Undertale pushes the player to choose mercy and knows every time you've crossed the line. It's genius. #Inktober #Inktober2021
2012 - Kid Icarus: Uprising, Nintendo 3DS Hades turned Uprising from a fun little adventure into one of Nintendo's best home grown stories. #Inktober #Inktober2021
2011 - Minecraft, PC It's weird looking back on it now, but Minecraft is one of the greatest games ever made. It's discovery, survival, and Legos all rolled into one. There's something for everyone. #Inktober #Inktober2021
2010 - Epic Battle Fantasy 3, Flash With it's fun areas, incredible music, and quirky characters, @KupoGames's EBF3 changed my viewpoint on where games could come from. Sparking an interest in indies over the next decade. Try it on Steam, it's free! #Inktober #Inktober2021
2008 - Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Nintendo Wii While it's probably technically one of the weaker Smash Bros. games, the memories I have leading up to it's release are some of the greatest I have. An incredible theme, Snake, and Sonic. The hype was huge. #Inktober #Inktober2021
2007 - Portal, PC The portal gun is probably my favorite video game tool with each level teaching you new ways to use it. Using speed and gravity to bend the rules and solve the puzzles is a blast. #Inktober #Inktober2021
2005 - MapleStory, PC From the day I landed in Lith Harbor, to acquiring my helmet from Zakum, to defeating Will the Lord of Spiders for the first time last month. I hold a LOT of memories in my heart with this silly mushroom game. #Inktober #Inktober2021
2003 - Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Game Boy Advance AlphaDream did an excellent job taking Mario and Luigi and dropping them into a turn based RPG. Played it every November from 2007-2012. #Inktober #Inktober2021
2001 - Zoo Tycoon, PC Zoo Tycoon was my first experience with expansion packs, user generated content, online forums, and unknowingly got me interested in computers and digital creation. #Inktober #inktober2021 Side note, this drawing was inspired by the Kevin Ghidorah meme.
2000 - WWF No Mercy, Nintendo 64 No Mercy is one of the greatest wrestling video games of all time. That is, if ya smell what The Rock is cookin' #Inktober #inktober2021
1998 - Pokémon Red and Blue, Game Boy Pokémon influenced my taste in shows, how I see video games, and sparked a love of creature design. Fascinating to me how it all started with a bus ride in 1998. #Inktober #Inktober2021
1997 - Diddy Kong Racing, Nintendo 64 I like Mario Kart. Mario Kart is great fun. However, I personally think Diddy Kong Racing beats the pants off all of them. Also Tiptup was the best character don't @ me. #Inktober #Inktober2021
1995 - Yoshi's Island, SNES I still hum the main theme and the cave theme today. That baby though... #Inktober #Inktober2021
1992 - Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sega Genesis Never had a Sega system growing up, so it actually took a number of visits to other's houses to get a chance to play Sonic games. I played them whenever I got the chance though. #Inktober #Inktober2021
1991 - Street Fighter II Had it on SNES as a kid, but was also lucky enough to play it on an actual arcade machine too. I remember the days I'd jump kick my way to victory because I could never figure out how to Hadoken. #Inktober #Inktober2021
...So I'm doing Inktober again. Last time my theme was my favorite movies from each year I've lived in, this time I'm doing my favorite games. Western release dates, no Betas or re-releases. 1989 - DuckTales, NES 1990 - Super Mario Bros 3, NES #Inktober #Inktober2021
