Activists/advocates of my generation know that we probably won't see any major reduction in #Stigma and #Discrimination toward those with #SevereMentalIllness #SeriousMentalIllness in our lifetime. What we are doing now is for future generations; we won't live long enough. #MedEd
I've been talking to friends who also have SMIs, more specifically mental illnesses that involve #psychosis, and comparing notes, a disturbing aspect of the #MentalHealthAwareness movement is emerging, i.e. it is actually INCREASING the #stigma of those with SMIs... #MentalHealth
