I had this #MonkeyCruise idea for a while now but didn't really come up with a satisfying idea for the monkey or the colorful dress. The painting "the swing", by Jean-Honoré Fragonard is one of the most well known pieces of what we now call Rococo.
This #MonkeyCruise pieces is inspired by a painting by Edward Hopper called "Nighthawks". In many ways I reversed the image. Inside became outside, loneliness became companionship and although I use a very similar color palette my version feels a lot warmer.
