#inktober day 6 prompt ‘husky’ was another tricky one, but luckily there is a Husky Mine in Canada that has these lovely Polybasite crystals in it! So that counts, right?! #SciArt #inktober2019
#inktober day 5 prompt is ‘build’ so I decided to try some #lettering illustration today by sketching out the historical backbone of the British building industry #granite specifically #Westcountry granites from the #Cornubian batholith! #SciArt #Inktober2019
#inktober day 4’s prompt is frozen, and you would think I would pick CURRENT #MINCUP CHAMPION ice, but I’m saving that for another day. Instead I chose this epic #dinosaur tail frozen in #amber! Read more here: cell.com/current-biolog… #SciArt #inktober2019
For #inktober day 3’s prompt, bait, what else but an Eocene #FossilFish anchovy - Eoengraulis fasoloi! I don’t really draw palaeo specimens cos I’m more afraid of getting them wrong, so apologies to all the palaeontologists out there. 😅 #SciArt #Inktober2019
Yes it’s that time again, it’s #Inktober!! I’m trying to use the @inktober prompts this year (but cutting myself more slack than last year - doing them all as minerals is tricky!) & day one is ‘ring’ which of quartz made me think of orbicular granite! #SciArt #Inktober2019
